Booked myself in for my massage and electro lymphatic drainage. Will have it tomorrow…
Champions league first leg Liverpool versus Chelsea. Going to miss the match as I have to go to my brother’s godmother’s for dinner. OMG!!!!
I have the match recorded.
I’m supposed to drink a minimum of 4 glasses of wine tonight, however, I know I will have to drink a minimum of four bottles tomorrow night so think I will stick to one and the rest will be grape juice.
The dinner went well, the food was delicious and the desert was fantastic. The desert was called Eton Mess, apparently pronounced Eton Mess. Did you hear the difference? » Read the rest of this entry «
Got to the gym about ¼ to 8am and hit the treadmill for nearly 30 minutes, my knee packed in at the 27 minute mark so I walked for another 5. Then did a power plate class… I was the only person in the class this morning, which was nice but also fortunate as near the end I felt like throwing up. I had to sit down for about 10 minutes afterwards. I’m wondering if feeling sick was because I have done nothing but sit on my ass since I have had VASER. Possibly my body was just getting used to the change. » Read the rest of this entry «
Hallelujah!!!
The compression garment is off for good and my shower this morning is more pleasant than usual because of this.
I am walking with a certain spring in my step today. It feels a little weird not being wrapped like a piece of sushi!
I was going to go to the gym before work but thought better of it. It’s always better to begin your gym week on a Tuesday and end on a Wednesday. » Read the rest of this entry «
I really considered the gym today, but figured I will hold off until Tuesday. There is no good reason for that other than I want to see what my body looks like two weeks after my VASER LipoSelection procedure with no exercise. Tuesday I will go back and begin my path to the cover of “VANITY” fair…
Walked around the park instead as it was a nice day.
I go for my electro lymphatic drainage and abdominal massage today.
I have never had electro lymphatic drainage before so the whole experience was very new to me. What it consisted of was me lying there while the therapist maneuvered the hand held device over my stomach, really very pleasant. The massage was intense but I’m a firm believer that maximum pressure must be applied otherwise what is the point? » Read the rest of this entry «
Friday.
There was a huge sigh of relief this morning when I took off the compression garment for my shower. It was also nice not having the plasters on while I was taking a shower. As you should see from the photos I will take after week two it is very hard to notice the place where I had the stitches, especially considering one of the places was in my belly button. » Read the rest of this entry «
Word of the day: Hematoma
In brief, it’s a localized swelling filled with blood.
Turns out that the fluid thing I keep going on about is hemotoma. It sounds worse than it really is just feels a little tough and will subside over time. I believe a little hemotoma is the norm with such procedures. » Read the rest of this entry «
April Fools day… I believe this originated because the French decided to change the calendar or something like that.
Kind of a mundane day, looking forward to poker with the boys later…
Body matters: the part just underneath my belly button still looks a little bloated but this is nothing major. As my vanity grows I look forward to this disappearing.
Poker arrived and I took a few bad beats at the hands of “the chef”. I would just like to get this off my chest, but both times up until the river (last card) I was a STRONG favourite. Throughout the night you tend to play psychological mind games with your rivals with a view to psyching them out to put yourself in a dominant position. This has somehow inspired my next trail of thought…
A friend of mine has taken to calling me Lipo, it was used on occasion throughout the game to no success. I have no problem with the name, however, is there any stigma attached to such procedures and is his name calling a form of insecurity? » Read the rest of this entry «
As I’m walking home from work I bump into a friend on the street, she’s on the phone. Being polite I wait for her to finish the call, had I known that wait would be nearly seven minutes I would probably have just smiled and walked on. Not sure how this happened, especially with my new healthy eating regime but ended up going for dinner with her and her friend.
We ate Thai and the portions are BIG! At some point during the evening her friend, from Evian of all places, mentioned this new weight loss technique. It was in the same ilk as the gastric band, but instead of the band you swallowed some kind of ball. I have tried to look this up but have not found anything on it. She said that her friend has tried or is trying this and loss X amount of weight. I’m not sure what my feelings are with regards to this kind of weight loss treatment. I seem to remember a presenter(?) had this done and there was some kind of outrage. Not sure what the outrage was over? Anyhow this made me think about VASER as a weight loss procedure. » Read the rest of this entry «
It’s been a week. Not sure if it has gone quickly? What I do know is that I’m now scratching the number of days left for wearing the compression garment on my wall with my fingernails! Perhaps it is because I’m wearing the waste band as opposed to the tailored garment? » Read the rest of this entry «
