Are Dermal Fillers Safe? Live Application on A Client Last week, our founder Esther Fieldgrass partnered up with our very own Aesthetic Medicine Specialist, Dr Ivona Igerc to demonstrate how simple applying dermal fillers to your face is. This was demonstrated live on an Instagram live, make sure you follow us on Instagram so you never miss out on demonstrations, industry news and exclusive promotions.

What Are Dermal Fillers?

Many clients ask, what are dermal fillers made of? The short answer is -microdroplets of Hyaluronic Acid, a form of naturally occurring sugar that typically aids the repair of damaged tissues. It is injected into the skin to easily plump concerned areas whilst restructuring the troubled regions for a more defined and youthful appearance.

Are Dermal Fillers Safe?

As dermal fillers are just a small injection, they are incredibly safe. Thanks to the ease of application, you can return to work straight away with the procedure only lasting 30-45 minutes. When the application is made, there will be a small amount of local anaesthetic cream applied but only if needed. Are Dermal Fillers Worth It?

Are Dermal Fillers Worth It?

The effects of dermal fillers last up to twelve months and can easily reshape the entire shape of your face or just localised areas. Because of how easy they are to apply, you won’t need any downtime, making them a great alternative to surgical procedures.

An Example on One of Our Clients

Dr Ivona is currently residing in Croatia, which is out of lockdown, so she was able to live-stream the application of dermal fillers. The client just had twins and wanted to look fresh as she was feeling exhausted whilst she adapted to parenthood. The first step was to apply some local anaesthetics cream to the client’s face, the cream Dr Ivona was using was a four-in-one solution so it’s quick and easy to apply. Straight after this, Dr Ivona started injecting small microdroplets of dermal filler into the client’s cheek going from just under the eyes in a downwards motion. The needle she was using was very small and short which allows her to be very precise with the administration. She then moved down to the upper and lower lips and along the jawline, this defines that area and makes your lips look and feel plumper. GIF of dermal fillers being applied Straight after application, Dr Ivona lightly massaged the area and then applied some ice. We managed to talk to the client just after the treatment where she informed us the pain was minimal, only feeling a “small sharp pain” which disappeared as soon as the needle was removed. She noticed immediate results, claiming that “it looks like I’m wearing makeup even though I’m not!” After dermal fillers, we suggest using Alphascience Tannic [CF] Anti-Aging Serum and Alphascience Ultra Deep Firm & Restore Cream throughout the next couple of weeks to ensure her skin looks fresh and full of life after the treatment.
