What are Skin Tags?

Skin tags are small, soft, skin-coloured growths that are attached to the skin’s surface and can vary in colour and size. They usually form in places your skin rubs together or creases, such as the neck, armpit, or the breasts. Skin tags can also occur on the face, usually around the eyelid area.

If you have a skin tag, your health is not at any form of serious risk. But whilst they're completely harmless, people often want to get rid of them for aesthetic reasons.

Options for skin tag removal in London

Excision Removal

The excision method is very fast and effective. It is a surgical procedure which involves a local anaesthetic being applied to numb the target area before the skin tag is removed with a scalpel. The incision is then closed using stitches for minimal scarring.

There is also the option of having the local anaesthetic injected into the skin before removal, making the surgery entirely painless.

Cryotherapy: Skin Tag Removal By Freezing

Cryotherapy, is where the skin tag is frozen with the application of liquid nitrogen. Having skin tags removed with Cryotherapy is a safe and effective treatment and ensures the surrounding skin remains undamaged.

Skin Tag Removal FAQs

How long does skin tag removal take?

The procedure time is usually no more than 20 minutes whether freezing skin tags or having skin tags removed surgically, and depending on the number of skin tags to be removed.

Does the skin tag removal process hurt?

Your treatment may involve the use of local anaesthetic to the area before removal, which will ensure that the treatment is relatively painless. At our skin tag removal clinic in London, patient comfort is a high priority, and we will ensure your pain levels are well addressed throughout the treatment. After removal, your skin may be tender for a few days and will need to have a dressing applied.

Will the skin tag grow back?

Our skin tag removal in London will permanently remove the unwanted skin tag. However, if you are prone to skin tags, they may grow in similar areas of your body in the future. In this case, it would be completely safe for you to have another skin tag removed from the same area.

How long do skin tags removals take to heal?

The full healing process usually takes between 5 and 7 days, but this will vary depending on the type of treatment and size of your skin tag.

I'm completely thrilled with the result. I look, I think, subtly better and completely natural. Not years younger, but fresher, brighter and more cheerful. As promised, my jawline is tighter, my cheeks firmer, my brows more elegantly arched and even my thinning upper lip looks fuller and more upturned. Within a couple of weeks of living with my new face, it felt completely mine.

The fantastic team at the King’s Road clinic put my slight apprehension at immediate ease. They were professional, knowledgeable and provided a seamless approach to my treatment (Volite HA Boost), checking that I was comfortable throughout. Twenty minutes later and pleasing results were already visible… I’m looking forward to seeing further improvements!

The Zone Out treatment was fantastic, it relaxed my mind and body, clearing my head of all that “London” stress … Victoria, the Hydrotherapist was incredibly knowledgeable and informative; above all making me feel at ease …I can’t wait to come back again!

Zone Out Colonic Hydrotherapy

After having FemiLift, I don’t have the worrying sense of urgency to go to the toilet as much, I feel much more in control, this treatment has changed my life for the better. I am amazed how easy and comfortable the whole process has been.

I’m absolutely thrilled by the 3D SkinLift. Having two children took its toll leaving loose skin on my stomach that I couldn’t get rid of. Even from my first session with 3DSkinLift I could see noticeable difference and now after a full course I’m feeling like my old self again.
