Best Al Fresco Dining in London
Nowhere thrives quite as much as London does during the summer; eating, drinking and relaxing outdoors takes up majority of our spare time when we’re not otherwise working. We love a bit of al fresco dinning when the weathers nice, so we’ve rounded up our favourite restaurants with outdoor dining nearby all of our clinics, so next time you visit, you can combine it with a bite to eat!
Kensington
If you’re visiting us in Kensington then it would seem rude not to visit the famous Kensington Roof Gardens. Their 7th floor restaurant Babylon has a great terrace where diners are able to look out over London’s skylines, giving incredible views whilst you eat. Better yet, this summer they’re offering ‘seafood on the terrace’, an opportunity to feast upon assorted seasonal seafood including lobster, king prawns and Scottish smoked salmon. You need not worry if our unpredictable British weather lets you down either as the terrace is heated and they will provide you with blankets and hot water bottles should you feel cold.
Chelsea
Located ever so conveniently next door to our EF MEDISPA Chelsea is The Ivy Chelsea Gardens. Offering al fresco dinning all year round, it really is the perfect setting for a meal outdoors. Featuring a water fountain adorned with flowers and greenery, the location really couldn’t be any more picturesque. Open 7 days a week you can pop in for brunch, lunch or dinner, with an extensive menu that offers an eclectic mix of modern British dishes infused with international dishes. We recommend you go there to try their ‘a year in the garden’ cocktail, specially designed to celebrate their first birthday. It’s a delightful blend of menthe blanche liqueur, grapefruit juice, elderflower and prosecco.
St Johns Wood
The next time you find yourself at EF MEDISPA St Johns Wood on a sunny day then we recommend you take a walk down to Abbey Road and visit The Salthouse. This gastro pub has a lovely little seating area outside with a great atmosphere making it the perfect place for a casual lunch or dinner. The menu boasts some much-loved traditional English dishes with a European twist, a firm favourite among many being the battered haddock with mushy peas and chips.
Canary Wharf
Canary Wharf, home of the old West India Docks hosts some great views over London, and being surrounded by water can make it feel tranquil even at the busiest of times. If you want fine dining alongside great views of the river Thames then you should head to Gaucho. Their terrace offers a relaxed dining experience, and if you head there at the right time you’ll be able to see the sunset over the river. The Argentinian menu has a great offering, including a variety of steaks, all of which can be washed down with a glass of a wine or a cocktail.
