Redcliffe, Bristol Harbour Bristol is a great city to spend time in over the summer. The lively city hosts a variety of different events and festivals to keep you busy! After spending a considerable amount of time in Bristol over the last couple of months preparing for our new clinic launch on Whiteladies road, we’ve compiled a list of the top events we want to go to this summer in Bristol, and want to share them with you. The first festival we want to share with you is Bristol Harbour Festival; taking place between 15th & 17th July, it’s one of the UK’s largest public festivals around the city’s harbourside and attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. Boats from all around the world can be seen in the docks and visitors can enjoy arts, music, dance, circus, food and drinks. It’s a great day out the whole family can enjoy. If you’re looking for something a little different than your usual food or music festival then you won’t want to miss the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta. From 11th-14th August the infamous Bristol festival attracts people from all over the world. The festival takes place at country estate Ashton Court and gives visitors the opportunity to see a mass of hot air balloons and enjoy hot air balloon rides. During the evening they hold a night glow event and a show stopping fireworks display! Launch For all you foodies out there, if you haven’t already been, then we would definitely recommend trying Grillstock. It takes place over the 2nd and 3rd of July and is a weekend festival all about music and BBQ food. The live acts this year include Levellers, The Fratellis, Cuban Brothers and The Stranglers. To top that, you can sample the best in authentic smoky barbeque street food and check out the proceedings at the King of the Grill cook off and eating competitions. Taking place from 1st July to the 10th July is Bristol Pride 2016. This free event headliners include Lisa Standfield, Little Boots, Lucy Spraggan and AME. There will be activity taking place across all the city including a music festival, pride march and after parties! Lastly, we had to mention outdoor cinema; throughout the summer in various locations in Bristol there will be outdoor cinemas popping up. They haven’t yet announced which films but we’re sure they’ll have some old classics!
