Pure PackagePure Package

This autumn we will be partnering with Pure Package, the healthy food delivery service in London. In order to learn more about the company, Hannah from our Marketing Team was able to trial Pure Package for a day. Keep reading to find out more about it, and how she got on!

The Initial phone call

My process started with a 10 minute phone call with Frankie. She explained what Pure Package was - a healthy food delivery service. Ideal for the busy time-poor man or woman that wants to eat healthily but doesn’t have the time to create fresh home-made meals. My phone call registration began with me choosing what kind of diet/menu I would like to try. There are lots of different options, covering a range of diets from Paleo, to mum and baby, to weight loss. I decided to try the healthy eating menu. Next we went through food allergies, I am fortunate enough to not have any so this didn’t take long. Afterwards I was asked about foods I don’t like. I liked this aspect as many diets don’t take into consideration foods you choose not to eat. I then went on to give my height and weight (this helps them to tailor the portion sizes), what I currently eat on a daily basis, how much water I consume, exercise I do, how much alcohol I drink and also how much caffeine I drink. After discussing all of this, I supplied them with my delivery address and booked in the day of my trial.

The day of my Pure Package TrialMenu & Bag

I woke up delighted to see my pure package cool bag left in my porch. I quickly looked at the menu, excited to see what my meals for the day where going to be. It started better than I could have possibly imagined. My breakfast consisted of scrambled egg, avocado butter, and organic crisp bread. I was very pleased with this as my favourite breakfast to make when I have time at the weekend is avocado on toast with scrambled egg. The breakfast was lovely - nutritious and filling. Next on the menu was my mid-morning snack. Usually by about 11am I start to feel peckish, but after my breakfast I was actually still quite full. My snack looked small, but it was actually very filling. The snack was two oat cakes with a very flavoursome babaganoush. A couple of hours later I had my lunch, salmon with a puy lentil & dill salad. I loved the lentil salad, it was bursting with juicy tomatoes, and complimented the salmon really well. Dressing was served on the side in little pots so you could dictate how much you put on. My afternoon snack consisted of almonds and grapes, perfect for picking at whilst working. After a busy day at work, it was a real treat to come home and not have to think about cooking. I get in from work around 7:30 so by the time I’ve prepped and cooked a meal it’s often 8:30/9pm before I get to eat it. But instead, this evening all I had to do was heat up my dinner in the oven for 10 minutes! And it was delicious, pesto chicken with roasted Mediterranean vegetables, and the portion size was perfect, enough to fill me up, without making me feel sluggish.Pure Package meals

My Verdict on Pure Package

Pure PackageOverall, I would definitely recommend Pure Package to anyone that struggles with finding the time to prepare healthy meals. The meals are all quite big, meaning there’s no chance you’ll go hungry. The other upside of this is that you won’t be tempted to snack throughout the day. The food is all high quality (free range chicken, ethically sourced sustainable fish and no GM food) and all their packaging is recyclable.
