Dr. Katerina Charakida
Dr. Katerina Charakida began her journey at the Medical School of Athens in Greece, graduating with First Class Hons in 1998.
Then went into Dermatosurgery and was mentored by Dr Chu, a globally respected Dermatologist. Just a few years later, in 2005, she qualified and embarked on research at Imperial College London and, just a year after, started to practice Dermatosurgery at the University of Lyon, France.
Her mission for knowledge took her to Smartlipo Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she trained in Liposuction and Vaser Liposuction. She further enriched her skills at the prestigious institute in Bulgaria led by Professor Serdov. In 2010. Dr. Charakida expanded her horizons under the mentorship of the world-renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Alfredo Hoyos in Bogota, Colombia, where she deepened her understanding of Vaser Hi-Definition (Hi-Def) and Vaser 4D Sculpt techniques.
Since 2005, she has served as a Locum Consultant within the NHS's Dermatology Departments at Charing Cross, Hammersmith, and Ealing Hospital in London.
In her practice, Dr. Charakida handles both General and Paediatric Dermatology. She has created a niche as a Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dermatologist with specific interests in ageing, melasma, and acne scarring.
Her expertise encompasses dermal fillers, anti-ageing injectables, and laser treatments for various skin issues such as mole, lipoma, skin tags and chemical peels.
Her affiliations include memberships with the British Association of Dermatologists, the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, EDAE, and RSM.
As a leading Dermatologist, she currently holds a position as a Locum Consultant in Dermatology at Ealing Hospital (West London) whilst working with EF MEDISPA since 2009.
